Yes! Studies have shown that intuitive eating might bring you one step closer to a healthy, better you.

This non-diet isn’t new but it keeps gaining momentum as more and more people look to break free from diet-culture beliefs.

You may have noticed a lot of food influencers have now started promoting the adoption of inuitive eating as a way to lose weight but this goes against the very principles of intuitive eating. Don’t be fooled by these claims.

According to benourished.org, an intuitive eater is defined as a person who “makes food choices without experiencing guilt or an ethical dilemma, honors hunger, respects fullness and enjoys the pleasure of eating.” Few of us are immune from guilt and judgment regarding our food choices because of the many sources of “food police” in our culture.
