The fact that a human can grow up racist and not even know may be far-fetched for anyone who has been victimized by the unjust acts forced upon them due to the color of their skin. Honestly, this is quite understandable. How could a kid grow up in a racist family and not know from an early age that racism exists at the dinner table?

When you take a closer look at some of the subtle ways racism sneaks into children it might become a bit more clear. Simply stated, children are NOT born racist. Children typically love their parents and family without regard until they get hurt by them. Many families don’t outwardly speak about their own racial thoughts and themselves might not even realize that they have them.
